Ayumi fell in love with the aurora when she was young, and her dream, seeing the aurora had come true in 2007 as the very first time her visiting Alaska. Since then, she visited Alaska several time as a traveler and an aurora researcher. She finally moved from Japan to Fairbanks Alaska in 2014, and started her life under the aurora as a tour guide and a photographer. While having her two young kids, her passion is still brightening with waiting for the aurora in the every winter season, and selling her aurora photo products at the local markets.

アラスカ州フェアバンクス在住のオーロラ写真家。

 

オーロラを撮影するために独学で一眼レフを学び、オーロラの全てを知りたい一心で 東北大学大学院理学研究科地球物理学専攻にて、地球物理学の修士号を取得。その後、気象会社勤務を経て、2014年にアラスカへ移住。 現在はアラスカ大学地震センター勤務。二児の母として子育てに励む傍ら、 ツアーガイドや写真家としても活動中。また、地元のファーマーズマーケットなどに出店し、メタルプリントやポストカード、オーロラ写真を使ったピアスやネックレスなどの アクセサリーの販売も行っている。
